Before anyone starts ranting about how I should use Firefox or Opera or whatever: I do. I use Firefox. But I need IE for Windows Update and accessing the occasional website that is full of crappy Microsoft HTML.

When I go to the Windows Update webpage, I get an error and the page doesn't load.

And oddly, when I try to go to amazon.com, I get an Invalid syntax error - This page cannot be displayed (Amazon loads fine if FF). I haven't noticed problems accessing any other websites.

I think I've checked all the obvious settings in Internet Options, but I could have missed something. Also, IE won't let me lower and of the security settings below Medium, is this something SP2 does to protect me? Is there a way to turn this "safety" off without disabling Security Center?
