Hi all... i was wondering if there is a such a thing as an ignition key or the like for a PC... by this i mean, in order to turn on the PC, you have to put in the key, turn it and then pres the button.... im not afriad to do some electronics on it, but simply knowing where i can get one would be nice.... It would be even better if the sort of key they use is like one an a V-2100 door or on most chieftecs..... AJ
yes there are... dont know where to get them new but i'm (loop stage) by a factory where they have them...there they also have the NO and NC clickers that go with it
They sell ignition switches at various electronic component shops and websites. It should be pretty easy to implement - just connect it in series with your momentary on and voila. Just do a quick google for UK retailers.
buy a cheap car igniton switch and put the two wires from the power button onto two of the prong things on the ignition. heres the one i did a while back
