uhm , I'm making my spud gun

    I've got all the stuff
    now i'm testng it all

my combusition chamber (or however its called .. the thing for the explosion) , is a old fire extinguisher , with on the main whole , a pipe for firing ...

and I drilled in another whole (about 1/2 ") , for the igniter .. now the igniter works

but when I spray in some axe (deodorant), and close up the main whole (with duck tape) , and try to ignite , nothing happens

I thought there might not be enough gas in it

so I opened up the duck tape , and putted a lighter on it .. a huge flame about 0.5metres (1.5feet), came out and burned the tape that was hanging above it , and olmost my fingers , lucky i was using a lighter with a long ... barrel (lol)

does anybody know what i'm doing wrong ?

the igniter works (I tried it before spraying fuel ...)

i dont know if it was working while the fuel was in it

but I assume it did .. I did try like 10 times .. so it just has to work 1 time ... right ?

maybe the spark isnt a good igniter ? unlikly to a flame ?

I made more of a flamethrower then a spud gun ...

all help is welcome !!! pictures are too offcours

Too much spray, try a little less, the spray needs air (oxygen) in order to combust. I've got one of those click to light blow torches and If you fill a tube with gas and leave no air it won't spark. Another good way to set of spud guns is to have 2 crocodile clips inside the chamber and wire a couple of strands of wirewool between them then apply a voltage from a car battery.... WOOF!

    Didnt work

I tried it again and again and again

The spark isnt enough to ignite the gas ...

each time when it didnt work , I tried with a lighter and it worked fine ...

i tried less fuel .. i tried more fuel ... I tried it all...

    nothing works

I then took out the igniter and tried spraying on that , and making sparks .. when directly spraying at it , there comes no spark , and when it does give a spark , no flame ...

only 1 time , with a normal lighter I just released gas and then gave a spark , It gave a flame ...

    I dont get it ...

    any more advice ?

I really wanna use the igniter cuz it costed me 10 euro's ...

    all idea's are welcome

    thank you
