As I said It will squeak through 3 of 5 gears if I let it by dropping the clutch. I have gotten a squeak going into 3rd @ 70 km/h. Its a pity I dont have $260 CAD in my pocket, I could Buy two pioneer 12"'s, but The amp the shop was quoting me was $700. I went to another place, and I can get 2 12" Cerewin Vegas, and a 450W mono sub amp for $500 CAD, I know where Im going in a few months. I put the 5x7's in the shock towers (kenwood 3 way's) and the system screams, but is gutless. Thank god the factory speakers hev met their maker. I am now patiently waiting until I have $5000 in the bank (tuition) and then aother $2200 (insurance) and Im going to buy a pair of CV's and the 450W amp. Plenty for this little small car. Then again my b-day is coming up, hmmmm... When Im done I will post pics. I have to clean up the outside of the car to be proud of it(damn paint). Keep in mind I paid $1200 for the car... Subs at the end of the boot, or directly behind the seat, which is better?
Another Q, What is the best material to build the box out of? MDF or Plywood, or Dimensional lumber. The last one is really out dimensional lumber is expensive so the choices are MDF or Plywood.
most sub boxes are made out of mdf or pine but mdf is the way to go its really cheap and is light and u can do what ever the hell u want with it pine on the other had doesnt come in sheets and its vert hard to model but my personal choice is mdf
