I assume you're talking to me there, as Oz has posted pics of his Westie already (and everyone knows what a Westie looks like! :))

Take a look here, in the gallery - I can't link to the pics any more.

Excellent news - I'll catch up eventually.... ;)

    Thanks! :D

Don't confuse the assembly-process and the designing-process. Designing could take years, but assembly on a production line could take something from a few hours to a few days.

I don't know how long it takes, but it sure ain't years. Making the first prototype may take a bit of time, but as soon as the production line is up to speed it goes fast.

Piggyback on here for an update: been playing around with fitting the bootlid and the roof and tonneau cover for winter. Hopefully it should be drivable again soon :D

Oh man that is nice, nice to see it on its own wheels!

I simply love the styling of this car, just want to see it driving about without the bonnet, almost hot-rod style.

    Keep it up!

    Which photo? ;)

Yep - it's actually easier to move around the garage now as well - the tiny wheels on the build stands where forever catching and sticking in the ridges on the garage floor.

Can you tell I'm just a little bit happy? :D

Please excuse the video on the site - It has no sound, as I forgot to turn the mic on in my excitement. D'OH.

Oh, and I managed to point it at a hose when I was trying to show the pulleys spinning on the front of the block. Double D'OH!

I'll attempt to get better video tommorow. ;)

Thanks guys. In other news, I ordered the instruments / cockpit gauges yesterday as well. I've gone with some black faced / chrome bezel jobs from ETB:

    http://www.etbinstruments.com/ETB_Gauge_Price_List.htm

100mm Speedo & Rev Counter, and 52mm Fuel, Water Temp, Oil Pressure and Volt Meter + all associated senders, bar the speedo.

I don't need a seperate pickup for the speed, as the guys at ETB say the electronic speedo is compatible with the BMW speed sender in the diff. Which is nice, as I don't have to faff about sticking magnets to the propshaft or mounting pulse disks between the prop and the diff. :)

They should be here sometime next week - Pics when they arrive.

Oh - I put my DV camcorder onto charge before I left for work... The neighbours will be treat to another six cylinder symphony tonight :D
