Windows Im organizing my 1st Lan and...

ok my 1st LAN is next thursday and i have flyers and stuff and i was wondering about sumthin...ok i want to play CS:source at the LAN but wud i need to have net conenction to play Lan or du u need it on all games cos i supply the ethernet cables and 16 ports for them and then the bring there own comps and k'boards etc...so i just need help with the gaming part lol, Ice

 

no u wouldnt need a net connection. just make sure everyones steam files are upto date. and will this be a dedicated server?

kool. steam can run in offline mode, i kno this as i did this a few weeks ago

 

i know steam can when im playin on HL2 but when i wanna run source which is an online game wud the same apply? and also CS 1.6?, Ice

 

we do quite a few lans. just make sure everyone brings so food and pop

as for the internet connection, its very helpful. after playing for hours some just like to relax and surf the net for a while or if you get less than expected you can all scrim in a server or something
