Great news, sounds like they're really being sensible about it. I hope it benefits their country largely.
We already do that in the UK don't we, various places teenagers can go and get the pill without thier parents knowing, doctor, school nurse (i think, although not sure), family plannign centre, sexual health clinic. Its a great idea
It is not a great idea, it's a pragmatic idea: it's (much) better than the alternative. Personally, I think the age of sexual consent should be the same as the age that you are eligible to vote, drive, drink, smoke, be tried as an adult and get drafted into the army to die for your country. Cut the crap and hand them all their responsibilities along with all their freedoms in a rite of passage/initiation ritual at one appropriately fixed age. Get parents and society used to the idea that they are working to a deadline: they should raise their children to be adults, at X age. It will never happen, but still, I have that vision...
