    my rig is as fallows
    core 2 duo wolfdale 2.8
    x4870x2
    gigabyte x48-ds4
    4gb of branded ram
700w sli cert psu (fataily edition)
    1 dvd drive
    1 floppy drive
    and 2x system fans
running vista 32 bit fresh install ( same problem also happend on windows 7)

atm when i play games my rig runs so slow it is unplayable at times, ganes that i tested was stalker clear sky and WOW, now stalker BSOD my pc when i tryed to play on windows 7 and wow ran at 7-15 fps in 25man raids with full detail. not tryed stalker on vista as yet due to wow still running so slow with this os.

only thing i can think of is the PSU is not big enough for this rig but dont want to spend the cash if that is not the case. anyone know anything else i can test to see if there is another problem with my system?

You could try running FurMark in Stability Testing, Xtreme Burning mode for a while to see if your graphics card is duff?

That PSU should be fine for what you have there.

Check the ATi CCC (basically the driver panel, ATi logo in the System Tray) and check CrossFire is on? I'm sure someone with experience of a 4870X2 could help you more there.

What driver version? And I would like to know, did you enable CrossFire?

Could it be the 32-bit? I doubt it but the HD4870X2 isn't exactly RAM saving on 32-bit systems.

ATI instabilities with Drivers? Also - you may wanna OC your E7400 a bit, it might be bottlenecking your HD4870X2?
