    lo there,

I need some advice on painting my new case. It's custom built in plastic and has lot's of little details on it. I want to highlight these by painting the whole thing base coat grey and then a black ink wash to pick the details out.

Now I used to do this with my Games Workshop models many many years ago but they seem to have stopped doing inks now (buggers) and I wondored if anyone had ever done it and could help :D

(Oh advice on what type of matt grey spray paint to get would be cool as well thx)

Paint it black and then drybrush it grey?

It would pick out the highlights, but doesn't tend to look as smooth as an ink wash, but than again, ink washes were always used in conjunction with drybrushing.

I suppose you could always pick up some of the Games Workshop black paint (don't know what they're calling it these days) and water it down to the consistency of skim milk. From what I hear, Vallejo is the dominant ink in the miniature community at the moment.

Personally, I just use a dedicated tube of standard craft paint that has been extremely watered-down. It has always worked for me ;)

    Good luck!
