Windows install software while windows formats?

    can i make it so that when i format, it automatically installs software and drivers like the drivers for the printer and graphics card and software like winrar? what software do i use?

    You can slipstream programs and drivers onto the disc using nLite/vLite.

    One of the nuisances of Win Updates is the long list of "$Undo" folders in the Win folder; it looks like RyanVM's system avoids that, so I'll use next time I re-install.

    But is there a simple way to remove the existing folders and associated reg entries, without Win Update thinking I don't have the patches and re-installing everything?

    aren't those folders used for rollback and last known good purposes?

    Should the install ever need them I'd sooner start again from scratch. Maybe you'd want to keep the last few patches just in case MS screw up with one, but not all the ones going right back to SP2.

    System Restore is for wimps. :hip:

    Anyroad, one method here but it's slow.
