    Slightly off topic green issues here. But which is better for the environment:
    Using Linux to keep older PCs going or throwing them in the trash with the cost of dealing with that and then getting a more powerful machine to run Vista?

    They are proper facilities to dispose computers/cellphones/non-reachable batteries/etc... contact your city for more information.

    Your joking right! vista is 20 to 30GB in size!! how the smeg is it that big!!

    Vista 64-bit include all it's processes and almost all porgrams of the 32-bit edition.
    So you have SysWOW64, System32, ProgramFiles, ProgramFiles (x86). So it's basically 2 times Windows.
    Then you need room for defragmentation, Service pack, and other Windows updates. Also remember that Vista has more software then XP. Moreover, if you have Ultimate edition and get the extras then you have the extra sound theme, DremScene videos..., but that is the small part
