n fact, Intel stopped short on a lot of detail this morning – only that Lynnfield's Turbo mode will be finer tuned and greater than that of Nehalem ( Do you mean Bloomfield ?? ) Since both Lynnfield and Bloomfield features Nehalem architecture.

Why is there no report spam option!? And yeah i5 is not i5, apparently. I'm sceptical.

Because there's a report post button. :thumb:

i5 is not i5? They won't change their naming scheme again, will they? Come on, Intel! Please!

Screw the name, just release some damn benchmarks on how well those will preform so everyone knows if they should hold onto there wallets if planning to upgrade this year giving them a chance to get some Dx11 cards as well lol.

Unless its leaked they prob wont release the details officially until the last minute to keep the i7 orders coming in. I'm happy to wait for the next gen to establish itself in the market before i spec up my potential upgrade.

IMHO, it's just easier to use the code names :)

Speaking of which, Intel mentioned a chip code named Jasper Forest not too long ago. Any info on that turn up at this event?

I thought intel wouldn't be absolute morons and discontinue the 920, it's best selling i7 cpu, that would be like amd releasing the 900 series CPU's when they released am3 boards.
