    haha, I did an upgrade for a relative over Christmas and used the same board. Be warned thought, as has been stated, it is crossfire only. nVidia has their drivers set up so they will only do SLI on an nVidia chipset board. I was bit by that problem during the upgrade.

    I know. I was careful to consider that. I liked the features of the intel chipsets much better. And I don't think I will ever want SLi. Seems I would upgrade my card before I bought another older one. and I won't really spend money on an old tech even if it did increase things a lot.

    I thought I would just say, some P35 boards do support PCI-E 2.0 unofficially. In fact, the P35 chipset does.
