CPU Intel i3 prices

    Has anyone else noticed that i3 540's are selling cheaper than 530's at the moment,

    I guess this must be Intel increasing the cost price of new 530's.

    Or maybe it's just that old 530 stock isn't moving because everyone's buying 540s?

    i5 750 cheaper than i5 661 too, that has 2x the cache, so bargain.

    Think its as you said, lower prices on the older chips from the supplier / intel, new CPUs on the way perhaps.

    If youre looking at a new CPU then the i5 is a far superior chip IMO.

    i5 Clarkdale or Lynnfield?

    I'm in the market for a Clarkdale processor at the moment.

    It's probably to dump some of the stock before Sandybridge is released, as after that no one will want them...
