I have to say its made my macbook pro just that little bit better.

I can run windows software when I'm on the move if needs be as long as using the great os x.

I was hoping it would be possible when I bought it but wasn't going to be reliant on it.

I'm taking it to a lan on friday save lugging my pc around :D

Quite embarrassing that a quad-core G5 at 2.5GHz with a 7800GT gets only 67 fps where an A64 at 2.0GHz with a 6600GT hits 80! Shows how truly terrible the PPC architecture was for gaming.

Nah it shows how poor the open gl is on mac os x I'm afraid :(

Hopefully apple will do some more work on it now :)

Are there any comparisons yet of a Macbook Pro running OSX and another running Windows XP? Would be interesting to see which is faster.

Hm, if only they had put up some current games/games worth playing. I'm still wondering how a MBP would fare with Oblivion or some more recent FPSs.

cpu121 - doubt it, but Windows would have to be faster. DX9 for a start.

There are some comparisons between the two out there already but they were using none native apps so it wasn't a fair test.

No such thing as a 100% certainty any laptop is going to have bugs look at the last rev of the 15in powerbooks for proof if you need any.

They can run source perfectly already (82fps)
