i just set up my new pc, DFI infinity 975x/g, core 2 duo 6600, saphire 1900xt 512mb... i have a 1/2" ID water system, danger den LGA CPU block and a swiftech northbridge cooler. when installing the northbridge block there is no possibe way i can get it to sit flat with the water lines attached other then epoxy them in place, im wondering if anyone else has had this problem before i glue it perminantly and has any ideas and why in hell does intel make such a crappy heatsink retainer. those 2 little wire loops will barely old the stock heasink on... piece of garbage. and i guess this wasnt a good time to try that new liquid metal thermal compound (extremely conductive), now its all over the transistors on the northbridge...horray.
