    This proposal for a new standardised transistor density metric obviously is of no benefit to Intel at all, I CBA to do the maths but what's the odds that using this proposed new metric would mean only Intel can claim to be using 10nm.

    Given that the headline "X nm" number has not lined up with actual process scale for quite some time, transistors/mm^2 at least measures something useful.
