damn, that sucks. they're one of the cheapest i7 boards over here at the moment!
Looking forward to where this is going - I get a feeling you like blue I'm hoping for a nice electric blue paint job!
I don't think you'd really need the HDD coolers. I have 4 of the EACS drives, and they run pretty cool.
(tominated): Yeh sucks. Dont no the eta on them in to NZ. Mite flick the suppliers a email and see if theres any more news of eta on them. Would love to get one for the build.
(Sir Digby): yep I like blue and black.
(Tulatin): Yeh you most liky right but hay read couple reviews on them and thay help a little plus wanting them for looks also. And thay will be hooked up to the fan controller.
Should have a box of parts turn up next week:
1x Lian Li CR-33B (Aluminium Black), Card Reader, Internal USB 2, 50 in 1.
2x Scythe Ita Kaze Slim, HDD Cooler, Black, 100mm fan
2x A.C.Ryan ACR-FG9888 FanGrill Classic 120mm, Black
why don't you email an aussie e-tailer and see if and for how much they would ship it to nz? this is the cheapest one here: http://www.megaware.com.au/index.ph...=86804&zenid=d90fb0bbd1efbe6123b7b951846eadff
Thay are sold out. I would say shipping would be up to $100.
Done sum more on build last night. New parts.
Lian Li 50 in 1 3.5" card reader. Black brushed alloy.
Installed into the bracket.
Cables for the card reader. You can use it as a internal or external. Started modding the cables as both of the cables went into 1 conection. only be using the top right cable.
Black grills and screws installed.
PCI slot fan controller. will be changing the plug on 1 of the cables as 1 is set up to go to the mobo.
Thats it for now just waiting on the 2 HDD coolers and another uv blue cable sleeving kit to turn up.
Nice update. That card reader gave me an idea for mine.
yeh I didnt think it was going to fit because its so short, But that give you 2 brackets to make it fit a full 3.5" bay.
You still going for the DFI board or the Asus Rampage Gene?
Dont no yet aye. Got my HDD coolers yestaday that I ordered. Will up load photo later tonight.
Here is a photo of the 2 Scythe Ita Kaze Slim, HDD Cooler, Black, 100mm fan.
Havent really done a lot with project lately as I have been working on my offroader.
If you want more info about it visit: http://www.git.com.au/~theedge/forum1/viewtopic.php?t=4992
Your pictures don't seem to be working for me. I've sub as I love this case. I hope you do go with a matx i7, you proberbly want the asus as the dfi is bright greens and yellows, or that my suit your build but i can't see though.
I was just wondering what the internal height and the internal depth, from where you mount the fans to the back panel was, do you have those measurements by any chance. Thanks.
I've just ordered one of these. I'm about to mod it so it will take a full ATX mobo and watercooling, proberbly abit ambitous but I like the idea so i'm going ot try. If you wondering on the hardware its all of whats in my sig, hopefully won't be too hot in there.
I really hope yours turns out well. good luck..
Yeh my photobucket accounts maxed out for month. photos will be back up on 9th on next month. Dont no if you can view them but this is my photobucket. http://s426.photobucket.com/albums/pp341/lianlipcv1000/?start=40
Yeh would be going with the ASUS board but its not in NZ yet. Just have to wait i think.
Cool would like to see you mods you do and your build. Full axt will be a a lot of hard work if it will fit. Have you looked at photos and that of the inside of the case on the net?
Photo of the rear of the case. http://www.xcase.co.uk/UserFiles/1486-Files/Image/back-view.jpg Photo of the inside. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y209/ianho_/Review Folders/SG03 Review/SG03028.jpg as you can see there is only a little bit of room at the bottom of the mobo if you remove the hdd racks then you would have a little more room and also a bit of room at the top about 60 or 70mm. not 100% if the 5.25" bay will get in the way. If i had a full atx mobo i would try to put it in my case and see if it would fit for you. Found this photo of the inside of case with a mobo installed. http://media.photobucket.com/image/silverstone sg03/iibowser/DSCF0022.jpg
Hop to see your build soon.
I think computer lounge are getting the boards in next week or something.
Sweet. Yeh I have been keeping my eyes on the pc shops for new gear. Im glad computer lounge get things in that no other shops do in NZ.
Thay have it listed. :O $739.00 inc GST
HOLY SH*T. that's equivalent to $AU600, you buy the real rampage board for that here.
Pictures do not work.
I suggest imageshack
