Curriculum Leader at college for the BA and FD Photography courses.

Sort of doing the job already... but this seals the deal.

    >.< Rookie error >.<

Is the interview just like a formality? Or is it like a life/death scenario?

Hmmm.... I'd hate to hazard a guess. I should get it, but I've no idea who else has applied. It's not life and death, as I'm already contracted lecturing staff there, but it's a good job, and the money is good. So I'll be gutted if I have to slide back down the ladder a step.

Well, there's not much point in me giving you much interview advice you've got a few years on me, and FAR more experience, oh, and I've had the grand total of 3 interviews...

One for college, which was to make sure I wasn't a dunce, one for McDoanlds to make sure I wasn't a dunce. And for Uni, to make sure I wasn't a dunce.

Every interview that you've been successful in, what did you do? Find it out, and do that tomorrow. Job done :)

LOL.. I haven't a clue what I did. Every interview I've ever had is just a blur of vaguely connected events. I tend to go on auto-pilot. Let's just hope everything I need is well embedded ;)

I'm not gonna wish you luck PookeyHead, as you don't need it.

You know the job, you know you're the best man for the job, and i'm guessing you're gonna let them know that in this interview, so what the hell do you need luck for?

The job is yours... unless some hot girl with big tits turns up and the interviewer is horny... so if that happens, then I wish you luck.

Hot girl...big tits...and photography jobs. Hang on people, this is about to go downhill, fast!

Good luck tomorrow (later today in your part of the world). The college will do well to have someone with your knowledge and practical experience to lead things. :thumb:

Good luck mate. If only my photography tutor at uni was half as cool as you I might not have jumped ship to film! Haha.

Once you get to the interview stage they think your capable of doing the job, the interview is more to see if your personality will fit into the company/existing team.

    Good luck Pook!

    Me haz new job! :)

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. It actually DID make a difference.

Still shell shocked here... just got home, so I'm gonna chill, maybe have a celebratory drink or two, and just unwind.

The interview was gruelling. My presentation was good apparently, and after I concluded, I could see them almost sweep aside any questions they did have, and just started to pull me to pieces over the points I raised. I thought that was the end, but it became apparent that they were impressed, and were just genuinely interested in the points and wanted expansion.

I'm mentally exhausted :)... in a nice way.

I had to teach, present to the panel, and have a formal interview. 4 hours of hell!

    Thanks again all.

Gtz on the job, a same day yes is definitely worth a few drinks!

I had an interviews like this once - whole day interview where I had to take numerous tests, give presentations, participate in group activities and then get a grilling at the end. I'm still mentally scarred...

    ...didn't get the job either.
