Indeed, I reviewed this for TR toward the end of May. Great for price, but it is a bit ugly.

Might I ask where from? Has she ordered it direct off the Evesham website perchance?

Only... I ordered one on the Evesham website myself about a month ago (I mentioned it in the 'Latest Purchases' thread at the time)... only to receive an email a few days later, to tell me they couldn't get the wireless card for two weeks or so!
A couple of days later, I received another email to tell me they were unlikely to get the wireless card before the first week in July (over a month after I ordered the laptop) - and possibly even later than that :jawdrop: :wallbash:

I subsequently cancelled the order... and only then found out that they'd actually taken the money from my account immediately after I'd placed the order :jawdrop:
I subsequently received a full refund, but the point is... they shouldn't have taken my money until the product was ready to be shipped :nono:

Hence why I'm skeptical that your girlfriend will actually get it "in the next week"
Of course, we're now into July, so they (Evesham) may have managed to sort out the stock problems by now.. but it's too late from my point of view. I subsequently bought a competitor laptop!

17" is just way too huge in my opinion. I couldnt get any larger than my 12" XPS M1210 :)
