IP Scanning - Anything quick and easy?

Having a bit of an issue with a couple of Brocade SAN switches - namely that I can't get in to the bleeding things because it appears that they aren't set to the default IP. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a hardware reset inside them either

Is there any particularly quick and simple way of finding out its IP other than just a brute-force IP scan which could potentially take days/months/years?

Advanced IP scanner is what I use - it's nicely multithreaded and at 1024 threads, usually takes under 10 seconds to do a C scan on a 100Mbit network.

 

Brute force scanners really aren't going to be able to help, as the IP could literally be anything. The fastest one I've used so far is Angry IP Scanner, which is clocking in at around 200/sec (ie, it could take a year)

I'm scanning the obvious ranges but nothing yet.


I was hoping that was something more clever that I didn't know about
