it depends on what you install. don't install those that requires persistent WiFi, and configure those background updates to update less.

Apple's official apps aren't any better either. run Skype signed in for a night and you'll see 30 to 40% drop overnight on iPhone 4 due to persistent wi-fi in effect.

after jailbreak, im getting same battery life as before, but without annoying MobiAd, and made the phone actually use-able.

look at it this way, if you don't like it, you can always do a fresh restore back to factory setting.

Monster Dash - silly run/jump/shoot game, but stoopidly addictive.
Sky Walk - cool astronomy app
    Helsing's Fire - puzzle game
Pano - create panoramic pic with auto stitching
Navigon - Great Sat Nav software - much better than TomTom IMHO.
ConvertBot - unit convertor, with a conversion for just about anything to anything
PasteBot - cut and paste stuff from your phone direct to your desktop
    DoodleGod - another puzzle game
Angry Birds - it needs no introduction! :)
Hullo Mail - Visual Voice mail for those of us on carriers that don't support the built in apple provided VVM.
Dragon Dictate - Text to Speach convertor. It's witch craft - scarilly accurate (at least for me)
