Ipod-Computer transfer

I am currently using WinAmp to synch my ipod and computer files. I am using the ipod with two computers. I can get the files from the 2nd computer to the ipod easily. I cannot, however, get the files off the ipod onto the computer. It seems to have options to allow for this in winamp, but it doesn't import them. I am using ipod plugin v1.21.

 

PodPlus will get the job done, but you might be able to find something else that is free.

 

You're not supposed to be able to retrieve music off the iPod, because that could lead to mass piracy.

But there are several programs that do this. The best known is ephPod, which has a large array of tools, one of them allows you to copy music from the iPod to a folder on the computer (I kept having problems with it where it wouldn't copy every song, I don't know why not). There is probably a plugin for Winamp that allows you too, but I don't know of any off the top of my head. PodUtil is a very cool program that will copy songs from the iPod too. You can also try SharePod, CopyPod, or Anapod Explorer.

As you can tell, a lot of people want to do this so there is a large variety of programs you can use.
