omfg, it all started when i used my ipod, funny how that works...

i use an itrip w/ my ipod to play over various radios
    not a bad little attachment...

so i turn off my ipod, i turn it back on, apple logo comes up, yehaaw..., takes like 10 minutes to finally give the infamous exclamation over folder icon, indicating my hd as bit the dust, ohhhh really i screem at my ipod, with no avail..., so i wait for the battery to die, becuase at this point no amount of button pushing or yelling will make it turn off. but thanx to the crappy batteries in these stupid things it didnt take long..., once done, i fired it back up w/ my charge cable plugged in, boom, it shows apple logo, shows a loadbar below it ??? :worried: never seen that before, then it proceeds to show a check mark saying ok to dissconnect with 'disk mode' written at the top, cool, sept it wasent even connected to my computer, and it still wont turn off by pressing any buttons... sooo, i figured :dremel: time to open her up..., once open i removed the battery connection, then unplugged the pos, i then try plugging it into my computer, which reveals that the hd works just fine, absolutely fine, i can even manage the music on it w/ eph-pod2..., so then  i had the bright idea to try it w/ a different cf reader...that went wonderfully...., i cooked the cf reader :duh: , thankfully not that expensive little hd..., but alas there goes my cf card reader :waah: .... then i try looking up what in the hell this 'disk mode' is ? never knew it was a feature of my ipod, certainly not a feature when the point of the device is music playback... so... i proceeded to dissasemble and glare at all my ipod componets, i did that and put it back together viola! it started back up but.... where was all my music... where did all my music go, :waah: , so i let the battery die 5 times consectutively... finally it starts up and shows my music, well final frickinly.... then my headphone jack stops working.... so yay i get to buy a new one of those, thanx apple for your really cool, backlit 15gig white sleek.... paperweight....

If its still under warantee, then you could just take the replacement battery out and put in the old one and send the iPod back to apple for repairs.
