    Hi Guys.

I'm thinking about selling my digital camcorder to buy an ipod because i love listening to music on the go. MY only question is where to buy? and what to buy?.

I've heard news about the ipod mini and info on the apple website but will it be available in the UK at a reasonable price and with only 4gb of memory how many songs can i hold.

I've been told by afew people that it is best to buy a 10gb or 15gb ipod because they are alot better and have more room for songs.

Just wanted to confirm all this.

Also if i do purchase one where from i want a price >£200 including shipping.

how much have people been saying how much the mini ipods are? Because i really really really badly want an ipod.

As for the 15gb and 10gb and 20gb, it depends how many songs you want to hold, a 4gb would, probably, just of the top of my head hold around 700+ songs, maybe less, im not sure

Actually the 10GB iPod has been upgraded to 15GB at no additional cost. Then there are also the 20GB and 40GB.

I believe the iPod mini will be available over there in April, pretty sure anyway. But honestly, the iPod mini is selling for $50 less than the 15GB iPod. I would go with the 15GB iPod as it's a much better deal at the moment.

£250 for the 15gig, i doubt you'll find it much cheaper as they are in such high demand.

right, i ownz0rz a 20gb 3rd gen ipod, at that holds ( supposedly) 5000 songs.... but atm i have 1142songs clocking jsut 4.01Gb thats using the AAC format, which provides better quality sound when ripped from CD's.
I purchased my iPod december time for xmas, and paid a whopping £230.
This was because of my favourite uncle in america bought it :)
And a plus about american ipods is they do not have a volume cap like the EU ones.
A 15gb one costs, last time i checked, about £250,
A 20gb one costs, £300. and for the extra £50 you get a 3rd more space, and you get carry case, headphones, inline remote, dock. think about that?
its worth it, i swear to god, its one of those things u could hold in your hand and people would crowd round and say WTF is that?! thats schweeeeeeeeeet.
and ive had that so much its the sexiest thing alive.

ipod minis although sporting a smaller hard drive has one advantage over the big brother...smaller dimensions! :) thats it tho lol, 4gb suck nuts, i think i'd wait till they sport the mini's with a 10gb design before i'd ever get one...but after some reading across the web apparently there is a ipod with video playback capabilities in the works, saving up now as i know that'd be hell of expensive

I brought an ipod last err.... monday! and I can't see the advantage of it being much smaller, well not for me really, the size advantage may be good for people with small pockets and well my girlfriend loves the colours :S
