ive had my ipod since the beginning of last april, and it suddenly stopped working. none of the buttons do anything, and when i plug it in the screen doesnt do anything. what could the problem/cure be? i have an extended warranty, but sending it in would be annoying.

Try reformatting it with the iPod software. If not, you're another victim of "the iPod death". Be happy you have an extended warantee, as they like to do this a lot :blah:

find the manual way to restart it..menu+select or whatever buttons you push.

    to restart :-

    turn the Hold switch on,
    turn the Hold switch off,
press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons until the Apple iPod logo appears.

if that does nothing, could try putting it into disk mode. Hold the fast forward and rewind buttons to do this. Once its in disk mode (if it works) plug it into your computer and restore the firmware.
