Not to sound Elitist, but IPS monitors are frankly awesome, and seeing as I've finally had my first one, The NEC LCD1860NX(DiamondPoint NX86LCD for me, it's the Mitsubishi one), it blows my old 26" Dell W2607C out of the water in picture quality, and although I do lose out on the space, I can always buy another monitor if need be. And it was only $35.

So this thread is dedicated to all the owners of monitors with those awesome albeit expensive panels, owners are free to brag and show off here.

    Please list your monitor model.

i am pretty sure my monitor is an s-ips panel (i could be wrong).
    i have the following.

    Dell W3007

    30" @ 2560x1600

The model i have has no scaling or processing features on the monitor so loag is almost non exsistent. And yes it seems small to me now. :D i guess i will have to buy another.

The only S-PVA screen I have at the moment is a Eizo Flexscan S2431W.

I also have a couple of Eizo S2402W as slave displays to put stuff like winamp, taskbar a few gadgets and other stuff on. (Figured I didn't really need anything better that TN on those two.

I'm currently looking for a calibrator as well. (Anyone have any experience with a Spyder 3? )

How did you manage that? I'm guessing a spare one going at your office or something?

I use a LaCie 24" IPS panel at work... does that count? LOL

Still got the Dell 2405FPW here. I'm considering replacing it with a IPS panel, but the new 24" NEC models that end in 2 no longer have the uber awesome A-TW polariser panel, so have been nerfed. Not sure what to get now.

H-IPS is the best IMO... having viewed many, many monitors. If you can get an older NEC model that had H-IPS panel and the A-TW polariser... you'll be gobsmacked!

NEC LCD2490WUXi is the one to get IMO... the 24" one with the 2 suffix no longer has the sexy polariser, and only manages around 75% of Adobe RGB gamut, whereas the non "2" version managed around 92%. It's visibly superior.

Although I dont like 26" panels due to larger dot pitch the NEC LCD2690WUXi² manages an amazing 102% Adobe RGB gamma.. that's stunning. Uses the same polariser as the older 24" model and a h-IPS panel.

The LCD3090WQXi that Bit reviewed is also awesome... but stupid money.

2408.. another awesome screen right there! Hard to tell it's not IPS tbh.

How do they fare in the lag department?

    No complaints here. :thumb:

That's qualified though by the facts that I haven't got a huge amount of experience with decent monitors (I only built my first computer a couple of years ago, and before that I had a laptop), and I don't go in much for twitchy FPSs...yet.

I have an Eizo L887, I'm not entirely sure what kind of panel it has (a quick google suggests ASV...?), but it displays pretty pictures and it doesn't seem to mind if the pretty pictures move quickly either :D.

Ive got a question about my dell 2209wa.

I have a decent rig together soon which includes a blueray drive, the dell 2209wa although beautyfull in colour and image and so on. It is 1680 only, I purchased the screen for triple to go in the future etc which is desired, but I am woundering will I miss out on total HD blue ray display on the dell 2209wa.

What I mean to say is its not 1920, can the 2209wa display the hd 1020di or what ever it is.

I understand the 2209wa has a hd input is that via DVI?

My dell will be matched with a gtx275 in the coming days.

Im woundering about upgrading to a 24" I could always triple screen 24" which would be insane but im not taking the 1680 too well at the moment plus the fact ive got this new blue ray drive.

Am I sweet with blueray and hd films on the 2209wa?

I wont really be able to help with your question (I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to monitors)...

But I have a question for you. How much of a difference do you actually (day to day usage) see between a standard TN monitor and the 2209?

Eh, I think the Yuraku comes close to king of gaming monitors since it has practically no imput lag whatsoever.
