Wake me up when it's over. I've seen numerous 'wars' kick off in my lifetime and have yet to find myself digging a hole in the garden. If I go by what the media tells me, I should be living in a cave on a deserted island, with no music, Internet (or PC's), contact with sociopaths or religious people.. I couldn't eat as it would all give me cancer or heart disease.. I couldn't drink as it would give me liver failure or brain damage. Then someone would be testing nuclear bombs over my head anyway.. It'll apply to me when I find a missile bearing down on my neighbourhood.
Ok, so is the UN backing action against Iraq? Or are they staying quiet in the hopes that no one will notice that they don't support action? That timeline is way too much like a movie script... But aparently Saddam has been given 72 hours to leave Iraq? heh...
ROFL I have a couple of friends out there, one is a Royal Marines Commando, and another is in the Paras. one of my neighbours (at home) has her 2 son in laws out there with the RAF, however they are both ground crew, so they should be fairly safe out there. I'll be keeping up with this in the media no doubt, also probably get up for the 7:30am (?) daily war report on C4, they tend to have the best news program from my view point edit// saddam won't leave iraq, I think bush is setting an unlitmatum later tonight, giving him 24 hours to leave from 0100GMT.
I didn't say he would, I just said he has a chance. He has a chance to spare thousands of lives... All he has to do is leave before we force him out... TBH, if it were me, I'd be gone. Surely he has plenty of money. Just take some, build a nice little p(a)lace in some 3rd world country and live out the rest of his life. I mean, think about the other option... Try to look like a tough guy, get your *** kicked (maybe killed), and you're still either locked away in a prison or kicked out of every "civilized" nation in the world... I think Bush is giving him one helluva deal here... but of course saddam isn't going to see it that way...
Why should he leave just because Bush says so? He has the right to stay and defend his country. We are about to end thousands of lives, destroy a third world country, and destabilise the Middle East. Without UN backing. I may not be stocking up my nuclear bunker just yet, but I am still angry and upset that this "war" is going ahead.
Ever seen boondock saints? Lesser of two evils. Bush takes out the bad guys (this time with real legal premise). Saddam prepares to take out the jews... Hrm. Who's the greater threat again?? Of course he has every right to stay and defend his country. But that also gives him the right to die just like the rest of the military defending his country...
bush is a bllodthirst moron with his finger on the red button i recon he never got enough attention from daddy so is now trying it get attention
UN Resolution 20.21, The Isralis, can not enter palestine or the West bank for no reason. They break that every day, do you see Bush and Blair, going to war with them? Nope!
They have reasons that they make up. The Israelis want Palestinian land, the Palestinians want Israeli land. This is why you shouldn't randomly kick people out of their homes.
