    im getting a recurring bsod

    irql_not_less_or_equal
it also mentions usbechci.sys in the bsod.

    my system is

GIGABYTE GA-MA69GM-S2H AM2 AMD 690G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
    Amd X2 BE-2350
OCZ DDR800 single 1gb stick. (the stuff with the tacky camo job)
    samsung spinpoint 500gb sata.
hauppaugge nova t 500 pci tuner card.
    hiper 350w psu
my inbuilt card reader from my silverstone case.

    running win xp sp2

i changed the irq of the tv card to a free one as i thought that might be the cause but it is still happening

I understand that this is a catch all exception and that it could be ram, drivers, other hardware or basically anything at all..

i have done a 3 pass memtest with no errors.

I think i have all the latest drivers except for the tv card as it wont open the ones i download properly

can anyone suggest what else to do?

When does it BSOD, during boot, during use? I'd try removing some hardware and run with the minimum to see if it'll actually boot and run. Also did you upgrade any drivers recently, if you did then try doing a roll-back to the previous version.

hmm.. might be a pain, but have you tried unplugging the card reader?

it always boots fine (and very quickly i might add)

It largely seems to do it when im recording tv in gbpvr (but this is pretty much the only time i have the computer on)

it is a pain but it might not be a bad idea. it came with 3 usb headers, one with the normal 9 pins, and two others with 6 pins each which confused me a little so i guess i may have made a mistake with the pins and that might be causing it?

The annoying thing is its a random error, it might happen twice in half an hour. or be fine for 4 or 5 hours... so testing to see if ive fixed it is annoying

if you read teh bsod it will tell you the offending module, eg USB.sys

Normally this is crappy third party drivers that cause this BSOD.

It is a hauppauge issue not just the nova-t 500 it happens on my usb nova-t stick. The newer nova-t500 is not meant to suffer from this, maybe get hauppauge to swap it out.
