    Hi all.
I have recently downgraded my video card from a GTX 570 to a HD 5770. (I know, quite a drop...due to house move expenses!)

My question is this:- Would I see an appreciable performance jump from adding a 2nd 5770?
I have an Asus p8P67 which I know only supports X4 on the 2nd lane, hence my question.

My usual game fodder consists of BF3, Portal 2 (Which the single card mucnhes), Splinter Cell Conviction, Fear 3 etc.

    Many thanks

    Mike

thinking this myself, as my brother is looking a 2nd 5770, I must say though how surprised I am at the 5770s performance in games such as bf3 on ultra etc 45-50 on 1080p in some maps.

    It's a very good card

A pair of 5770's will give you slightly less performance than a single 5870 which isn't bad considering the price they go for now.

If you can find a second hand one for around £50. Given it'll only be getting a x4 slot though, performance might take abit of a hit.

Might be worth just holding out for keplar and seeing what turns up in the market place and go back to a bargain 570 or 560ti.

This, if its x4 slot then it'll take a fair hit not to mention the possibility of microstuttering and slow driver releases (those games should be fine at this point but worth checking). The other side is the added power draw and heat. I would hold out till next gen cards are out and pick up a 570 or 6870/6950 second hand. Possible bargin if the 6950 unlocks.
