Other Is bit tech dying?

The demote thread hasn't been the demote thread for quite some time. Some would argue since the closing of the actual demote thread. The forum is quieter than usual but it's not dying, just changing a bit as time goes on. The main site is a different matter though. I doubt that the tech news and reviews side of bit-tech (in other words, the business) will ever be the same again.

 

well I guess the forums are alive still but I do think if the site goes the forum goes with it, I remember in the past they had some really great articles e.g.

Mostly, I think it died long ago. What made Bit Bit is gone. It's something like a shell of itself. Main reason I hardly post any more.

Also, **** all the mechanical keyboard BS. Can't even ask a decent hardware question anymore, either it's idiots or keyboard fapping.

Then again those who know a bit about his situation understand he has a reason to be. We all let our personal stresses and emotions spill into this forum on occasion. I'm no better than others in that regards, and neither is anybody else here.

I love the animosity

We keep ourselves to ourselves in our thread. I don't think any of us post anything to do with keyboards anywhere else.

What is the problem with people having a hobby? what is the problem with us using a public forum, which is predominantly a tech forum, to discuss our tech hobby? In a manner that isn't at all invasive to other forum users as it is entirely up to you if you want to venture into our clicky keyboard world?

I wonder - does liking keyboards make me an idiot by default? Does that mean, that none of the keyboard folk bring any merit to anything else on the forum? I think if that is what you think then you are deluded.

 

Mostly because I need an adjustment on my meds, both pain and depression. Everybody will have those moments, some will own up to them and some won't. I know I can be cranky and opinionated-being sick with no cure can do that to a man. I shouldn't have used the term idiots, but after trying a few mechanical keyboards, I went back to a Logitech setup and type just fine. And I've written one whole novel, and a slew of short stories on it. I type a LOT. If I had the perfect keyboard, it wouldn't require any finger pressure more than a touch-arthritis throughout your hands leaves you like that.

I can recognize that I used a poor choice of words, and own up to it. But I still feel like the core of Bit is gone, and we're trying to carry on in a shadow of the former glory.
