what the hell happened to this thread?? i go away from this thread for a few days and its carnage. what the hell are you people fighting about so what if Kayin got a bit moody, are people not allowed to?? For all that he has been through (losing his son and his condition) i think he is allowed to be an ass more often.

I would have to say the whole mech keyboard thing is just a group of fanboys. Their isn't any harm in that, and keeps the community ticking over.

The forum hits a rough patch around this time of year when a certain percentage of the members hit the exam period of the year and it either goes quiet or draws out some window licking..

Thanks. I hear what you're saying and I appreciate your apology. Like I said, sometimes when you are in a more rational and objective place than the other guy, it makes you the wiser person. And the price of that (annoyingly) is that you have to be the wiser person. Today, you are the wiser person.

I was an ass. I was a directly antagonistic, name-calling ass. I chose to fire off a response instead of stepping back, looking it over, and realizing my mistake. I already stated that I knew I had done something wrong. I can't even say that at that moment I had any particular intent-I was just responding off the cuff.

But here's the thing. I don't normally insult, and for that I am sorry. But what I don't understand was the amazing level of butthurt from some people. People who I didn't think I had slighted in the past. And that was what I was referencing when I mentioned how downhill it had gone. Some get hurt, those that I have know for forever think "something must be up."

I try not to play my condition for sympathy. I don't want it. I don't need to be treated like I'm gonna break all the time. But losing my son has seriously messed my head up. One correction, Nexxo-he was our only child, and we can't have any more. Poor kid died from the condition I have. And I had to hold him and watch him go. I've had to be a lot more careful with my posting since it happened, but one got through. I didn't expect to be crucified upside down by people that often post assier things than me. But I guess that's where things have gone.

I can tell I have to be more careful, because I never intended to cultivate the image of an ass. But then again, apparently some people just think I am. I'm not getting butthurt over this, I'm not going anywhere. If you think I'm an ass, then I'm an ass. And if some of you think I'm getting special treatment, then Nexxo, you can feel free to act with zero tolerance towards me. I can take it.

But I do remember the days when we didn't all run around holding our asses because butthurt. And I miss them.

Mate I appreciate that you've had a bad time and that's never fun.

But you don't have to apologize. And if you do just the fact that you're apologizing is more than enough (for me at least).

I'm also kinda saying I don't want to give you sympathy (outside of your threads in serious, which made me cry a bit at my desk) because thats not why you're on bit-tech. You still put forward good points that I still read because you like many of us have good points to make. So I'm not going to be soft on you, I'm going to debate you and we'll see who wins.

But dude, I for one don't think of you as an ass, so don't feel that you are though of as one. Maybe your behaviour for one sentence as a tad arsey. But dude if I was called up for every arsey thing I said I'd fill up a septic tank.

(And I know I said dude a lot there, its how I talk when I'm trying to be nice)

 

I have personally lost interest in bit tech as a whole (site and forum). It's not a knock on them or anything. I just realized I don't come here by force of habit like I used to. I actually come here when I realize it's been a while since my last visit. I still love the place, though
