    Is GTX 570 really worth $100 more over SOC GTX 560? I am concern about its performance gain. I have no clue how fast is overclocked GTX 570 is or what is maximum overclocking cap, but seeing how close SOC GTX 560 comes to GTX 570. It’s almost like an even match. I can’t help, but wonder should it still be considered for purchase? What are your thoughts bit-techs:confused:

    Performance is all relative... If you compare a stock 570 to an overclocked 560 then probably not. Compare an overclocked 570 to an overclocked 560 and you have a significantly better solution with the 570. There is plenty of OC headroom in the average 570 to get near to a 580 performance.

    Your choice should be down to resolution you play at and how much you value the increased performance of a 570 and whether ultimately that is worth the premium.

    I always look at the cuda cores, more processing cores the faster it is.

    560gtx = 384

    570gtx = 480......96 more ! The amount of my poor 8800 gts 640 mb.

    Thats a good GPU knowledgeable right there. Thank you erratumn. I usually looked at charts and fill rate, you know gb/s etc etc. Anyone knows or got any ideas how overclocked GTX 570 performs? (And I don't mean just like 10MHz on core and 5 on shader)

    Problem is if you apply that theory you'd look at 465 and think it's better than the 460.

    Cuda is not everything, I LOVE, i mean LOVE the GB SOC range, I have the 460's and the cooling, silence, speed and build Q is second to none.

    If you are playing at 1920x1080 then no. But if you are playing with a res anything bigger then the 570 GTX comes into its own.
