ooooo very nice picture. But shes not REALY a game girl as she can be "had" in real life (if you could get close enough and she was willing)

PS i dont remember her striking THAT pose in RA2

the games you mentioned are based on pretty good stories, it is very normal to get emotionally affected by those. This happens when you reading a book or watching a movie, so there's nothing wrong with it. Good games games can combine many forms of arts together and art is something that "talks" to the heart like no other thing.

What is strange though is that only JP titles have that effect on people :worried: ..ok i must admit i was touched by HL2 scenario..but that's just a drop in the ocean.

P.S. oh and The Longest Journey (GOD what a game :thumb: )

Surely it wouldnt be much of a role-play game if you didnt get somewhat emotionally attached to the storyline and the characters. The thing i loved so much when i first played ff7 was the fact u find out so much about the characters, there not just there to be played, there more like your friends. The games are so well written you really do seem to share the experience of the characters. If you let yourself go you can get very attached, i belive thats what a game is tho. Somewhere to relax, get away from the real world and get involved in something of your own? I know i play sometimes to get away from it all...

Well, getting back on topic I just freaked at the end of HL 2... WHEN THE **** IS HL 3 COMING !?!?!?!? I NEEEEEEEEED !!! Damn it ! I need to rescue Alyx !

Oh well and yeah I thought it was pretty cool trying to get Munro and Telsia back together in Elite Force II... was pretty heart warming at the end.

And yeah, almost let some tears of joy run at the end of Little Big Adventure I & II...

    Cheers

lol alien vs perditor defo!!!!! such an atmospheric game esp the marine missions i love that game and yeah i was sobbing at the Aeris scene at times like that I dont thinks its bad to be emotional its just a case of excellent storytelling, the way the writers make you like the characters. Hell they try to do it in movies, but i'v never cried at any of them

Same here - so emotional! I got the same when Mantis died too - he was just too cool. I think it's perfectly fine to get attached to games like that, after all they are just like films and we all get attached to those - except this time the script can be so much more involving than in a film (a character can save your character's life for example.) No shame :thumb: In fact, if i don't get attached to/alientated from a character in a game i don't feel that it's been as good an experience once it's finished. :)

Call Of Duty, I swear I had a tear in my eye when we took Starlingrad and Berlin back form the Nazi's.

Also when I was about 9 I spent 4hrs placing some spaceship game (can't remember the name) and I finally finished it. I was so so so happy I remeber telling everyone I met about it. :eyebrow: <- was the look most people gave me.

All the final fantasy games really grip me and get me FAR too involved.
FF8 is quite emotionaly involving from the outset imo compared with the others but I Really do hate it when your main char dies or their friend does.
The worse thing is it does the same to the g/f so she MAKES me play more so she knows whats happening in the story..

Not that its a bad thing mind you :)
