Windows is it me...

    is it me or is SP2 getting worse? at work we have the normal activation probs so we remove and activate like normal, then that dont work, we remove some other updates and the windows is corrupted.

    and when we do do it we now have SP1 asking us 2 activate it. and then we need to DL a crack from the net (and yes these are legit copies) to activate.

    ur opinions?? im not MS bashing just SP2 bashing :p

    Yes, all XP service packs suck... I installed sp2 on my cousin's pc and it took his frame rate down to like 20fps on Doom3. Plus he has a x800


    I dont have any M$ updates or service pack on my pc(exept the Blaster Worm Patch) And still up and running for 1 and a half years lol

    Linux has bigger fonts and is very reliable (you do something you know it will happen). I suppose if you taught someone from scratch (i.e. they had never seen a PC before) on linux you could do it quite easily. Its just different from windows it isnt harder.

    You always get these stupid remarks when ever you mention SP2.

    Its like saying, I cant Fit my Tent in the boot of my Honda 4x4.

    then someone says to fix that get a lotus.

    Getting a lotus does not solve the problem of getting the tent in the boot of a Honda 4x4. Also what do I do with my honda roof rack and my trailer as the roof rack doesnt fit on the lotus and it doesnt have a toebar for the trailer.

    How in the world can installing linux on there machine solve the problem of getting SP2 to work or install right. It is 2 completly different things.

    So your saying if he installs linux on his machines then SP2 will install and work perfectly on linux.

    Dont be so stupid.

    Are you being paid to promote Linux everywhere you go. I hate people like that. Linux does somethings and windows does others. If I installed Linux on my Games workstation then Ill have endless problems getting my hardware to work and the software I use to work.

    I just bought medal of Honor today and would that run right away on linux without having to do anything to the PC or linux to run first time???

    I know I gone off suject, sorry mate.

    I have had no problems with SP2, but mine always been installed on a fresh install and not over the top of SP1. Maybe a re-install might sort it out.

    Other than that I not sure mate.
