I currently am undergoing a modding project of complete revamping my cooling system.

I choose to go with water cooling because of the issue of noise on cooling its better than that fans, as I see it.

My questions is simply if I was to water cool my system completely, meaning psu,hd,cpu, ram.

Would it be necessary to have fans at all in my system?

Also my goal is to have a silent pc. So I want to block off all vents aspect for the radiators (and any other necessary), and I plan to you damping foam to help to. Would this be possible?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forums. :)

I think you've posted this in the worng froum, extreme cooling will prob get you better results.

You can cool the whole machine with water cooling and remove all the fans but you would still need fan(s) for your radiator.

So you saying that I can complete enclose the case to provide the quietest PC I choose, excluding the radiators fans?

Do you think this is wise, thus I might cause cooling problems.

You can also consider using thermister controlled fans that only go high RPM when the temps go above 110° F.

I have three of these above my radiator and I can't hear them at all... the PSU fan makes more noise... that will be corrected soon enough... :thumb:
