Windows Is it possible to increase tempo on mp3 files?

    I would like to speed up some mp3 files i have and was wondering how I can do it any ideas woud be great

    My friend has a program called OTSjuke that allows you to do it - it provides a virtual mixing facility for mp3s I believe but is a commercial piece of software..... I don't know how much a licence costs but it is very good.

    i used to use the DJS player to mix back when i had 2 sound cards ... worked pretty well ... if it can control tempo enuff to mix d&b im sure it will fit your needs

    tk421 did you use the mk1 player which is free? If so how do you go about changing the tempo? Also can you make it not change the pitch I just want a dfaster song not the chipmunks!!!:D

    Edit but it is very funny!!! Hearing st.anger chipmunk style!!

    also is there a way to save them at the pitch you choose for quick access and portable player use?

    im not sure, i used 2 or 3 of the mkI players to beatmatch, not just change tempo ... i was looking at the problem from a dj's standpoint. <shrug>
