Here is the deal, I have sold my xbox and nearly all of my games so far. So I was thinking a few games would be nice to rebuy. I never played any of the DLC for fallout 3. So is the game of the year edition with all the DLCs for around £25 worth getting, will the DLCs be worth it get me playing the whole game again. I heard its a horrible console port and as much the experience is a little different on the PC. But I have a wired xbox controller I can use if its that big of a deal. Oh and does the game of the year edition need games for windows live to run, because if it does it can go die. Saints Row 2, brilliant game on the xbox...Again I heard its a terrible port. Anyone played this to confirm? Any other games suggestions or general comments? Feel free and thanks in advance. I just wish they would make Skate for the PC
Oh it has nothing to do with the controls - AFAIK it used to run like poo before some patches. Same with Saints Row 2, except that one still runs like poo.
Fallout 3 GOTY is available for £13.99 which is a nice price, http://www.gamestracker.com/buy-fallout-3-goty-compare-prices-pc.htm I doubt the GOTY doesn't need GFWL but the original fallout 3 only required you to install it, you didn't need to register it to your xbox/GFWL account so you could play it without even looking at GFWL it just wouldn't keep your achievements I dunno if that helps you though. I'd personally always get Bethesda RPG's on the PC though cause of the great amount of mods available
I'd recommend getting fallout 3 GOTY, some of the mods available are amazing (Here is a great place to get mods) Saints row 2 is unfortunatly one of the worst console ports ever. I had to download a 3rd party app just to change the resolution, and it ran like crap
Storm20200, you legend. I thought £22.50 was good on play.com I have no excuse not to buy that now. Cheers for the advise kiytan, I will steer clear of saints row 2.
