erm? how can Apple blame MS for anything? they have a stand alone OS, they do not rely on MS for this stuff... that is pure MS bashing for the hell of it with no reason behind it AT ALL!

Given that most of vista is imho a direct copy from OSX with a different name, I think Apple can MS bash all they like!

Anyway, I bet Leopard is gonna give vista a good run for its money in terms of "creativity" and "innovation"... of wait, Tiger does that already

Erm... you're blaming Apple on speculation made a third party?

Apple never said they would blame MS; Digitimes said they might... whether true or not, it sure is going to bring in the readers.

Hence why you started this thread.

Care to show me some evidence of that Koola?

Anyway, what's wrong with just putting an update through when they crack the problem? This article reeks of something, and it ain't the truth.

True that it is not Apple doing it really, but how can anything on a mac be delayed by something on an MS system, darn funny... next we will find out that MS has delayed Longhorn server due to something in linux ^_^

    The joys..

Same could be said for widgets that also exist on Linux... Everybody steals from everybody else, learn to live with it...

What counts is how you make them work together and how well they're implemented ;)

word from MS, is you can't run vista as a VM, also vista upgraded from XP does work, so no issues there

more likely, is finalizing some small things within the OS for public release/working out bugs

also, it's more likely for start of summer of this year I believe

I think you'll find most applications on operating systems have their roots elsewhere, and innovation is usually second to adaptation, whereby most features are typically OS-specific versions of software you can already get from 3rd parties or find in Linux (spaces, anyone?).

I've seen people use Dashboard and Vista Desktop Search countless times in an argument.
    Just look at PDC '03.
MS showed tons of stuff there (including widgets and search) way before Tiger was even released.

    hooza! :)

If Apple do bash MS for loss of sales I will actually laugh so hard!

Personally I dont see why Mac's have come back so fast in the last couple of years, and especially why the iPod took off, when there were better MP3 players out there :S

Also.. why cant you run MacOSX in a VM? Surly MS could launch VirtualPC2007 to run MacOSX etc? Or do Apple forbid it?

i agree with this... although its funny how apple can take a crappy feature from someone else and make it brilliant, but when microsoft copies a good idea from apple they somehow make it suck
