Just wondering if my fan will do the required cooling for overclocking my amd 1ghz to 1.XXX mhx Its a zalman: http://www.zalmantech.com/CNPS-3100G+.html And my case is a un-modded Li pc60 http://www.futurelooks.com/reviews/hardware/cases/lian_li_pc60/page1_frame.htm And the answer i want is, how much can i oc with this equipment?
How much you can overclock depends on so many factors - that heatsink isn't bad (so long as the heatsink - fan alignment is good in your case/mobo combo), so just keep pushin her until either the comp becomes unreliable or your load temp goes above 50 deg. C. Cheers, r.
yes, ive used a zalman flower heatsink before and you have to get the airflow comming in from directly from ontop of it to get the full effect. the person that i build the system for now has 450cfm+ ducted onto it, keeps it at room temp
