I am looking for a way to use 1 keyboard for 3 computers…. I have 3 desktops and 3 monitors… What I am trying to do is have the same input from 1 keyboard do the same thing on all 3 desktops, all at the same time.(Maybe some sort of USB Y adapter) Example: I open up WORD on all 3 computers, and type a letter… What happens is all 3 computers will type the same letter at the same time.(using 1 keyboard) I have looked into KVM switches, but this only will allow you to switch between 1 computer at a time. Additionally, is there a way to use 2 keyboards (USB) on the same system (second keyboard would act like an extra 108 function keys instead of a standard keyboard.)… Software controlled? (I know there are 180 key set panels out there, but at $320+ I would rather rig up a $10 keyboard and label the keys myself with white out and magic marker)
The idee of the one keyboard and the 3 computer has come up already ( with 2comps) I ve searched for the thread but I could not find it anyware. But im sure its somwere on these forums.
Wait, why would you want to do such a thing on three computers at once anyway? As far as I know, it is not possible to use the same inputs for multiple computers simultaneously.
you could have a copy of VNC on the machine you want "copeyed" and connect the 2 machines mirroring the output to connect to it. This is however only a visual copy, and all data is still retained by one machine.
I also searched the boards and was not able to find anything . Would it not be possible to take a keyboard, spilce in two more connectors and have all pins connected the same except for the power pin on the two spare computers?
