I am required to take a Leadership and management class inorder to graduate from college with the major I want, I signed up for this class during the summer and it was supposed to be a 5 day class 12-3 PM, Each class is costing me $127.10 + gas to drive to school. Out of the 4 classes I have had so far the teacher has not shown up for 2 of them in a row. Is there anyway that I could ask for a partial refund because I am not actually learning anything. I go to UW Platteville Cheesecake.

Is there any rules/laws about a teachers attendance?

    thanks

if your college / university has an ombudsman and enough students complain they might do something but i highly doubt it.

Usually when you pay for something, you usually get it. If you pay for a class and no one is there, its the fault of the staff. I would demand a full refund for the classes they had no teacher. Just because there are a lot of people in school dosnt mean that you have no rights. The only way I could see this being a problem is if somehow, when you signed up for this, that the papers signed stated something like "absolutely no refunds, even if we don't show". If so, your screwed. If not you can fight it.
