If you can't tell, is it really worth the money? Marks and Spencers do some really nice cheap polo shirts...
I didn't even know the crocodile logo was associated with Lacoste. Turns out that the golf polo I'm wearing now is authentic =/ And all this time I've just been tossing it around. BTW, $8 at a second-hand store.
thanks, i saw that guide but the picture is too blurry to make out the croc. was just wondering if anyone had a good eye for fakes
The size is usually on the main tab at the back rather than a seperate bit to the side. I'd give it a miss.
But what if the fakers read that and tighten up their act? Mind you, anyone who can't tell Pima cotton from Egyptian or Supima (and buys their polo shirts "off-the-peg" as I believe they term it) deserves to be conned.
QFT. My mate runs a decent t-shirt shop, selling a (very) small selection of surfer t-shirts. They do me fine and I think they look plenty good. http://www.rythumandflow.co.uk/ All he needs now is a decent webdesigner...
I use Palmer Cash, Busted Tees or Threadless for my T-shirts for going out, otherwise it's primarnis best for the gym.
Well I have bought a few lacoste polos for a mate off ebay. And we got 2 polos that were fake, you could tell they were fake because the logo was reallyyyy bad (actually messy), and then we also got some other ones that were real. He went to town (Southampton) and compared his shirt to one in a shop and it appeared to be genuine. So you could either do that or just have a guess Ed edit: but in my opinion from the picture you have given us - not very high res - so its quite hard to see, I think it is genuine but I could be wrong.
Generally, expect fakes on eBay. Besides, if you really cared, you'd dish out the money at a retailer. Unless it's used, I doubt you'll ever find a deal on stuff like this. Polo shirts are the easiest things to fake. eBay shop sellers are out to make money - not lose it.
Shop smarter and you can find sensational clothing at second-hand outlets. Trust me. I've got many high-fashion clothing from just shopping second-hand. And they honestly don't appear to have ever been worn.
seconded. i find quite a few name brand things at my local salvation army, i just got a really nice express dress shirt with the tags still on it for $2, just to name one deal.
