I quite like way he steps through the argument - if you disagree then at least you've been presented with where he's coming from...
It really does look like nVIDIA have screwed the pooch on this one. If it takes much longer to get Fermi out, ATi will have a new range out and that will make Fermi look like last year's tech, even if it's actually OK. How on Earth did they get this so wrong? I heard dark and ugly rumours that PhysX stole his childhood sweetheart, but much like his articles you're going to have to take that on trust because I've no sources...
Maybe a nvidia CEO got on the same plane as him and said to cabin crew he had a bomb. I do reaised i've used bomb and plane in the same sentence and as a result you mightn't see me online for a few years.......if so, lets see whats released first, me or Fermi!!
I was actually being serious. This has to come from somewhere, all the funny quips aside. Also, he does have sources. He just keeps them secret. He does do a lot of extrapolating, though, but he seems to have a knack of hitting the nail on the head even before there's a nail (or a hammer, for that matter).
GTX 480 and GTX470 are listed for sale already here. Whopping price tags attached. Unsure of it's legitimacy on the actual pricing though, seems a bit suspect at this stage. http://www.sabrepc.com/c-27-desktop-graphics-video-cards.aspx?pagesize=9§ionids=30&list=0
According to alien babel tech and nvidia facebook the fermi cards are gonna be out at the end of March http://alienbabeltech.com/main/?p=15736
Not to mention the picture you've got as your avatar! Hope that's not you. What? It is? Oh well bye then, see you in a few years lol
