ok lol i was messin with xbox live.... and the voice masks are freaking hilarious as a lot of you know... and god i just thought how awesome it would be to have those in a phone conversation... besides buying an actual voice changer... is there anyway this would be possible using xbox??? lol, thanks
lol, quick answer, ok I've got a good xbox question for anybody who's ever tried this. Can you remove the hard drive in an xbox, use it in a computer, do a partition swap with another drive, and put the new partition swaped drive in place of the old one? I've tried this before, but my bios wouldn't boot with the xbox hdd
8GB actually. More than enough for a console, easy for me to burn through in a few hours provided I have a good broadband connection.
the first revisions were 10 gb i believe and then they changed to 8gb seagates or vice versa.... atleast i think
(1) yes xbox hard drive will work in a pc. (2) yes xbox hard drive can be upgraded to 200GB (3) No to the vioce convosation. (4) xbox needs a Mod chip to swap hard drives. For all other things including mods and case mod to the xbox visit XBOX-SCENE
the voice thing could be done very easily and for like $1.... go to radioshack or somewhere like that and buy an adaptor that changes from the rca audio (red & white) jacks to phone (headphone) plug.. plug the audio cables from the xbox's av cables into the rca connectors on the adaptor and plug the phone plug from the adaptor on either your mic or line-in jack on your computers soundcard....you'll have this: XBOX AV_____ADAPTOR |..........................| V.........................V R ======[¯¯]=O¯¯¯¯\_to sound card W======[__]=O____/¯ now use a phone dialing program on yourcomputer... talk in whatever game elts you do the voice mask and the phone software will then use the xbox's audio as the audio it sends over the phone line.
X-BOX uses some crazy ass modifeied filesystem , fat32x or something, thats why it dont work in a comp. The DVD is changeable as well i beleive.
BTW, my bios sees the hdd in my xbox as 80gig. The actual drive is a western digital caviar "enhanced" IDE drive. It is a standard hdd.

How To Use Original Xbox Hdd In Your Pc (v0.3) Tutorial written by : GTac01 First of all dl the hdd unlocker HERE Then connect your original hdd to your xbox, using Evox, get your hdd password. (in the evolutionx dash go 'system utils' then 'backup' , this will make a directory called "backup" on the C drive of your xbox. "hddinfo.txt" will contain the HD key) Once you have it, It looks like this: 01:23:45:67:89:AB:CD:EF 01:23:45:67:89:AB:CD:EF 01:23:45:67:00:00:00:00 00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00 rewrite it as followed: 0123456789ABCDEF0123456789ABCDEF01234567 Yeah delete the last zeroes, and print it out, ull need it. lol, thanks, I'm trying to downgrade the drive in my xbox, swap it with a 20 gig, I figure for the effort involved, it's worth it, because I don't have the cash to go out and buy a 80gig hdd, especaly one of that quality.
