Hi, looking to get a new isp because tiscali's speed is abominable. Looking for somthing under 16 a month, good download speed, designed to be used for torrent and online gaming, and importantly EASY TO SET UP. Thats the main thing.

    What'ya got?

I use Be There and it's absolutely amazing. Problem is, to get good speeds, you need to be near a BT exchange. I'm maybe 0.75 miles away from the exchange and I get about 18mbps for £17.50 a month. I've had it for a few months and never had any problems.

    +1 for Be*.
£22 a month +BT line, am about 600feet away form the exchange so get ~20mbit down and ~2mbit up.

I have rarely had any issues with there services since I moved to them ~7 months ago.

To help you find out what ISP services are available in your area check out Sam Knows for a comprehensive list.
Type in your post code, telephone number or exchange to find out detailed info.

Ring BT and ask them what the situation is - it might just be that it's still registered with another phone company. You need to have a BT phone number to order it.

    +1 for O2/Be* though - I've got a static IP, flawless service and 22Mbps/1.7Mbps all for £17.50/month. :D

Call Tiscalli and ask for a MAC code, then call Be*/O2 and explain you wish to migrate to them and give em the MAC code.

This way there is a minimum of down time for the broadband, the switch over is pritty quick, often inside an hour.

Unless you happen to mean that the phone line is Tiscali's and not BT's, in which case your either stuck with them or will have to move to BT :/
