I live in NorthEastern Virginia and I ping really badly compared to others... I have 5mb Cox cable and my friend has 768k DSL. I ping about 50 in CS1.6 servers and he pings about 20. I doubt switching from my belkin 54mbps router to a dgl-4300 will do anything. I was thinking about getting FiOS, will it help me ping better? Any ports I can open? It's really annoying...
