A goodly chunk of Israeli citizens are undoubtedly their equivalent of ‘MAGA’ and totally believe what they are doing over there, just like MAGA believe Trump for example. But as Elon proved, politicians are literally bought and paid for by billionaires and big corp. We are slaves, wage slaves. All that happens over and over again throughout history is that the rich and powerful use the tools of the day to protect their own interests and balls to everyone beneath them.
The uniquely awful problem here is that Netanyahu cannot end the ware because if it ends, his (more) lunatic coalition partners will leave, there will be an election and he will lose. Then he has court cases against him that will reactivate under the next government. And fianlly the war will be followed by a public commission of enquiry which will look into why October 7th happened including how much money he was channelling to Hamas to undermine the PA. Any on the other side we have Hamas whose strategy was to try get Israel of kill lots of Palestinians, in which I guess they think they have succeeded.
You shouldn't conflate recognising Palestine as a country with legitimising Hamas. Let's use a different example: Everyone knows Lukashenko isn't ruling Belarus by legitimate means, but that changes diddly squat about Belarus existing, so lets apply that same logic to Palestine.
