    Hello guys,
I'm looking for help/confirmation with my motherboard being fried...
I have a custom built pc which i built possibly a year ago, i recently wanted to add a touch screen fan controller to the case that added usb and jacks for me.
So I stripped my pc down to rebuild/clean and add the extra items. Since re-assembled i tried powering my pc up with no luck, i figured the power switched had gone so also tried jumpstarting the mobo and still no luck.
I have connected every possible fan/controllers and drives etc via the Psu and jump started that with no issue.
Therefore i come to the conclusion it had to be my motherboard that had gone? I have nothing spare wise to test anything which is an issue atm obviously....
I'm looking for possible solutions/fixes and perhaps a conformation that my theory is correct?
    Any help is appreciated :)
    Thank you

To the admin, this post can now be closed as the issue is resolved :)

To anyone who has a similar/same issue this was my fix and a possible cure for any other similar issues:

I tinkered all night with this and for some reason decided to check the pins on the 24pinATX connector from the psu.... as i looked at those I noticed one of the pins didn't look as though it would make contact when connected as the hole looked too large. I pinched pin closed a little to make better contact and tried jump starting the pc via the pins.. it worked!
So make sure to check these connectors when having similar issues :)

    Thank you
    Dave

Ok, can happen to the best of us but, have you reconnected case power buttons to the motherboard?

Edit: Just read you've tried to jump the MB, nevermind

He has already jumpstarted with all fans/controllers and drives connected the psu and it works fine.

Remove the mobo from the case and try it not screwed down, may be a short on the case. Failing that reseat absolutely everything, try with 1 stick of ram at a time etc. Not likely ram if the board is not powering up though.

Hey guys and thank you for your replies, the issue is now solved. It was the Psu's 24atx connector that was the issue i had. The pins on the green wire were widened so when connecting it the motherboard it wasn't making full contact, therefore no power was getting through.
I pinched together the pins to close the gap and the pc is back to normal with no issues what-so-ever thankfully! Again I thank you for taking the time to read and reply to my issue it's much appreciated :)
