Finally got the Westfield pretty much finished, after a couple of years of work. I know we built it slowly, but wanted it doing right.
Haven't taken it out for a test drive yet, the weather has been crap. Planned for the weekend. Then all it needs is an MOT test, and then to get it past the SVA test.
    Without further ado, pictures!

Wa-wa-wee-wah! (in the words of Borat)

That looks great, especially in yellow - no one has an excuse not to turn their head. Let us know how the test drive goes. One question, how much do you think it ended up costing you?

I'm not sure about cost really, it was a birthday present a couple of years back, so I never really looked. Was a full kit including new engine though, so we didn't have to buy a donor car.

What a fantastic birthday present! Will you beable to drive this on the public roads? If so what are the "conditions" for that?

Lovely car and nice color! :)

I've always dreamed about a Shelby Cobra kitcar.. but they are expensive.

Yes, it will be drivable on public roads (whether I will be able to get insurance is another matter).
Before it can get insured, it needs to pass a test to make sure it is safe for us to drive it on the roads-the SVA test. Makes sure everything works, there are no protruding sharp edges, etc. Then it is registered as a normal car, because it is made from new parts (some kit cars made from older parts have to have a special registration)

That is absolutely bloody gorgeous! It's begging me to drive it in the photos, I bet you can't wait. Awesome birthday present.

Is that a Nissan Figaro next to it?

Nice , I like the smooth lines, works well. Two years, work, now thats a passion, looks like it was worth every second. How are the nerves about taking it out for its first drive?

If you can afford it you should consider a performance driving school. Especially in a car like that, it'll make things safer and more fun. I don't know how insurance works over there, but here it would make insurance cheaper as well.

Please please please be extra careful if you take it out while the roads are this slippery. Spring isn't too far away :)
